China has decreed that patrons under the age of eighteen will not be allowed in karaoke bars, discos, or internet cafes beginning on March 1. In addition to this new rule, these venues cannot allow patrons to access “audio and video products and electronic games” that could “harm national security and incite hatred toward other nationalities” or “damage [China’s] unification, sovereignty, or territorial integrity.”
