Electronic Arts has announced a game based on the real world 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany. The game is called 2006 FIFA World Cup and will include twelve official stadiums along with stadiums from each qualifying region. The game will offer the option for players to play as a team from the qualifying round up to the finals.
“The FIFA World Cup will be the single most watched sporting event by a worldwide television audience, bringing together soccer fans from around the world,” stated Joe Nickolls, Lead Producer of the game. “Our game, 2006 FIFA World Cup, celebrates this passion by capturing all of the national rivalries in-game, enabling fans to play their heroes and be part of 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany.”
The game will be available for all major platforms in April 2006.
