Sony PSP Gets Price Drop, Enhancements and More

During the PS Conference in Tokyo, Japan today, Sony Computer Entertainment President Ken Kutaragi stated that the PSP system would experience a price drop to $199 for the basic package in the US at the end of March. This Spring will also see an updated browser with Macromedia Flash 6.0 support.

Other enhancements PSP owners can expect this year:

  • Video and voice-over-IP
  • RSS Support
  • USB GPS receiver which can be used to interface with new games
  • PSP Eye Toy Camera coming in Sept. 2006
  • PSP Eye Toy will come with a new version of Eye Toy Play and video chat
  • E-distribution which will allow PS1 game downloads to PSP memory stick

With the PS3 details revealed and this exciting PSP news, Sony fans are no longer in the dark regarding their favorite systems.
