You already knew it was coming, but now it’s official. THQ the publisher behind the current gen crop of WWE wrestling titles has announced that their popular WWE SmackDown! Vs. Raw series will continue on the next gen systems. Current gen console owners shouldn’t be too displeased as Yukes is currently developing WWE SmackDown! Vs. Raw 2007 for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 and the PSP.
Enhancements are said to include the ability to fight among the fans in the stands in designated areas, a revamped Season mode, usable objects in the crowd for maximum destruction and all new moves and high-impact combos. No word on online play at this time.
The series is set to piledrive its way into your heart sometime this Fall.
