Lara Croft continues to grow in popularity and has now been awarded a prize for the “most successful human video game heroine” by Guiness World Records. Lara was given the award for “transcending the boundaries of video games and becoming a recognizable figure in mainstream society.”
“It is a mark of the phenomenal success of the Tomb Raider series that 10 years after the first game release, Lara Croft, is more popular now than ever,” enthused Ian Livingstone of Eidos.
