More details have been given about the games we can expect for the Revolution at its launch.
George Harrison, the Vice President at Nintendo, has announced that we can expect twenty games at launch, one-third of those games will be first-party games.
Ubisoft has added to the excitement by announcing that Red Steel, an action game that combines swordplay and gunfire, will be released with Nintendo’s new console. Set in Japan, players will have to “master both the ancient art of the katana and the sophisticated technology of modern firearms, taking advantage of the emotion and immersive gameplay possible only with the Revolution’s remarkable controller.” Ubisoft intends to make Red Steel a franchise like Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia.
“Nintendo is excited to have Ubisoft bring Red Steel to the Revolution launch line-up,” enthused Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Ubisoft promises to “disclose more specific information on Red Steel in the coming months”. We are sure will learn more at E3 next month.
