Warner Bros Announces New PSP Game

None

Warner Bros. has announced that a PSP video game will be released simultaneously with the movie 300: March to Glory. 300: March to Glory, the video game, will be developed by Collision Studios and will feature the same exciting plot as the movie. The story is a retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae where King Leonidas and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Players don the role of King Leonidas and lead their Spartans into battle using “their sword, spear, and shield and the power of the soldiers in a battle to determine the very fate of western civilization.”

“The 300 film based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel offers continual action and an intense storyline that lends itself to be a striking video game,” commented Jason Hall, Senior Vice President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “With 300: March to Glory we are bringing the battles and story to life in an interactive way, which will challenge and satisfy players so they won’t be able to put their PSP system down.”

“We are working with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to ensure 300: March to Glory captures the look and action of the film while making it fun to play on the PSP system,” explained Philippe Erwin, Executive Producer of 300: March to Glory for Collision Studios. “The source material allows for great freedom in making a game where the player can be strategic and heroic.”

The game and the movie are both scheduled to release in 2007.
