Don’t get too excited about this one, folks. Chartered Semiconductors has created a deal with Microsoft that will allow them to manufacture a new Xbox 360 CPU. The new CPU will begin production in the first quarter of 2007 and will have several advantages. Microsoft will be able to produce the system for less cost and the console will run cooler.
