Need for Speed: Most Wanted will star actress and model Josie Maran.
Maran has has supporting roles in films including Van Helsing, Aviator, and Thelma. She has graced the covers of Glamour, Self, Vogue, Marie Claire, Seventeen, and Lucky and is currently a Maybelline cover girl.
The game will allow you to watch Maran with a new process that takes Hi-Definition footage of live actors and turns them into synthetic-looking video game characters. This new process allows gamers to see better character, motion, and facial likeness in true 3D game environments.
“Video games are much more personal than films since it’s an interactive experience for the audience; it’s like being invited into their home,” said Maran. “For Need for Speed: Most Wanted, we performed in front of a green screen, much like a Hollywood set, so all the gamers will see will be real-life video of the actors merged into environments from the game; it’s simply amazing.”
Other Hollywood talent will be showcased in the game. David Footman, director, and Brian Pearson, cinematographer, will contribute to the game. Footman has directed The Day After Tomorrow and X-Men. Pearson worked for the TV show Dark Angel and movies I, Robot and Underworld: Evolution. Habib Zargarpour, two-time Academy Award nominated visual effects supervisor, will also be part of the project. He has been involved with movies like Twister and The Perfect Storm.
The game is set to release in November for the PS2, Xbox 360, Xbox, GameCube, DS, GBA, PSP, and PC.
