Universal Pictures has received the rights to make a movie based on God of War, the game. The movie will follow the same storyline as the movie. Kratos attempts to destroy Ares, the god of war, and demolishes everything he sees along the way. No director or writer has been named for the film yet, but Charles Roven (Batman Begins, Bulletproof Monk, City of Angels) and Alex Gartner (The Upside of Anger, Barbershop 2) are named as the producers.
