We told you earlier that Sega had announced it was working on a new Sonic game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The Wii was strangely missing from the list. But not for long. Sega has now revealed that the Wii is included in its future Sonic plans. In fact, the Wii will see it’s very own Sonic game.
“Sega is excited to lead the gameplay revolution through its support of Wii with a Sonic release built exclusively for this new system,” stated Scott Steinberg, Sega of America’s Vice President.
The exclusive title has been named Sonic Wild Fire. It will take advantage of the unique options the Wii controller offers.
Sega expects the game to be released in 2007.
