Last night, Nintendo unveiled some exciting secrets about the new Super Smash Bros. Game. The game had all the fun, predictable Nintendo elements. Pikachu, Kirby, and Mario set the stage for the game. Following their appearance was three Nintendo characters that are new to the franchise: Wario, Pit, the hero of Kid Icarus, and Meta Knight, the evil Kirby character.
Yet, the appearance of these exciting new characters was trumped by the appearance of an even more surprising character, Solid Snake.
No, you didn’t read it wrong. Solid Snake was speaking to his compatriot Otacon through the Codec communicator. Octacon mentions to Snake that he has been invited to join Super Smash Bros. and then asks where he is. Snake replies that he is on recon. The camera pulls back to reveal Snake in a cardboard box in none other than the Super Smash Bros. arena.
The game title is Smash Bros. Brawl and it will be out on the Wii in early 2007. We also have a preview on this game you should check out for more information.
