SAG Approves New Contract for Voice-Over Actors

SAG Approves New Contract for Voice-Over Actors

None

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) has overwhelmingly agreed to the terms set by the video game industry. Over eighty-one percent of the members who voted approved the contract. This will allow a thirty-six percent increase in pay to actors who do voice-over work in video games. SAG members will receive a minimum of $759 for each four-hour session. The new contract is through 2008.

“The interactive market is of vital importance to our membership, and SAG will spend the next three-and-a-half years devoting resources to further organize this exploding industry so that we can return to the bargaining table with renewed strength and vigor,” expressed Sallie Weaver, the union’s chief negotiator.
