TiVo has announced that a new update to their TiVo Desktop software will allow users to watch their TiVoed shows on PSP.
For $24.95 a month, people will be able to record shows which will automatically get transferred to your computer and then to your PSP.
The shows will not play at the PSP’s 480×272 resolution, but at a lower 320×240 resolution. The reason? “TiVo feels by limiting transcoded files to a low resolution of 320×240, they further protect the rights of content owners while providing appropriately sized video for portable devices,” explained Jim Denney, TiVo VP.
Currently the system will only work if you have Windows, but TiVo is still promising a TiVoToGo for Mac users.
