Australians Fight Back After Reservoir Dogs Banned

Australians Fight Back After Reservoir Dogs Banned

None

We reported earlier that Australia’s Office of Film & Literature Classification (OFLC) refused to classify Reservoir Dogs. Unclassified games are virtually banned in the country.

Following in their neighbor’s footsteps, New Zealand’s OFLC also banned the game.

Yet the ban is not going unnoticed by Australians. Electronic Frontiers Australia (EFA) has suggested that a new R18+ rating be introduced. Currently, the highest rating a game can have is 15+. Therefore, if the game is not appropriate for fifteen year-olds, the game is basically banned in the country.

So far, no word on how the campaign is going, but we will keep you posted if a new rating is introduced in Australia.
