More details about Call of Duty 3 have come to light.
The game will take players back to World War II during the Normandy Breakout. Allied forces must recapture Paris consequently setting the stage for the fall of Berlin. For the first time, Canadian and Polish forces will be joining the British and American troops.
Treyarch, who created Call of Duty: Big Red One, has said that the game is being “built from the ground-up for next-gen consoles.”
Players will be able to destroy environments and kill enemies with grenades. Options for how to best complete the mission will be provided. Gamers must choose the best path to achieve their objective.
As many as twenty-four players will be supported in multiplayer mode. Soldiers will have different classes and a ranking system.
No price or release date has been given for the game, but the consoles Activision has stated it will appear on include Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox, and PlayStation 2.
