Electronic Arts has announced seven different athletes that will be displayed on its upcoming FIFA 07 cover. In North America, Landon Donovan of the L.A. Strikers and Francisco “Kikin” Fonseca of the SL Benifica will be featured. Lukas Podolski of the Bayern Munich will showcase the German front cover. Spain and France’s cover will display David Villa of Valencia and Juninho Parmabucano of Olympique Lyonnais. Worldwide, gamers will see two-time FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldinho of Barcelona on the cover.
“EA Sports works with the best players in the world to develop the most authentic soccer games and we are particularly proud of this year’s line-up in FIFA 07,” stated Clive Downie, Vice President of Marketing for EA Europe.
EA has also announced that it has renewed its exclusive licensing agreement with the English F.A. Premier League through the 2010/11 season. FIFA 07 will feature twenty-seven leagues from over twenty nations.
The game will be released on all current gen systems on October 3, 2006.
