Wii Users Experience Online Problems

None

Some Wii users are experiencing problems with WiiConnect24, the Wii’s online system. When users try to download the first system update, an error message appears. The most common error is code 110213 which reads “There is a problem with the WiiConnect24 service. Please try again later.” Receiving this message will stop users from connecting to the network which means they will not be able to download Virtual Console titles, send messages, etc. Usually, gamers are still able to play games and use the regular Wii functions. However, in rare cases, Wii systems will just quite working altogether.

Nintendo is requesting that all affected users call customer support at 1-800-255-3700. The company will replace the Wii within 3-4 business days, but all data saved on the system will be lost forever. If some of you have already spent every second since you got the console building your system, Nintendo has another option where you can send in your system and they will repair it and have it returned in 8-12 business days.

If you are experiencing other problems with your Wii, Nintendo encourages you to check out their online support network .
