Boston MBTA Responds to Criticism Over GTA Ads

None

Pressure in Boston over controversial GTA ads continues to grow, but the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) has put their foot down on removing the ad. Daniel Grabauskas, head of MBTA, has released this statement:

“While violent video games might be a contributing factor, they are certainly not the only factor in the rise of violence among young people and against law enforcement. I have been presented with no evidence to suggest video games are the most important fact in this plague of violence in society today.”

“The language that was utilized in your letter and in the invectives hurled at the MBTA that followed over the past two days throughout the media contributed nothing but unnecessary and ugly public discourse. Your methods will certainly continue the cynicism of our citizenry about us all that serve the public.”

Grabauskas ended his discourse with one last shot at the critics, “I expect that you will now be about the business of taking on the other challenges causing violence in our City and in our Commonwealth with equal zeal.”
