Yesterday, we announced Xbox Live’s new Video Marketplace service. Apparently, you guys were pretty stoked about this service. Microsoft has announced that the site ran into technical problems due to “the extremely high number of downloads.”

Larry Hyrb described the first few hours of the Video Marketplace as an “unpleasant experience” for members, but stated that Microsoft was working to resolve the issues. He stated that anyone who ordered content which hadn’t arrived would be given a full refund.

“We’ve made progress over the past 24 hours, and the team is dedicated to fixing the issues and continues to work as fast as they can around the clock to get the service running as seamlessly as you have come to expect.”

If you are an Xbox Live member in the US , you are instructed to call 1-800-4MYXBOX if you have received error messages or have not received purchased content.
