PS3 Theft Considered Inside Job

PS3 Theft Considered Inside Job

None

An abundance of crime surrounded the launch of the PlayStation 3, but one theft may not be as it first appeared. Police in Sacramento , California are charging two nineteen year-old GameStop employees with embezzlement, burglary, and conspiracy.

Police believe the two men called the police alleging that masked gunmen had taken four systems from their Elk Grove store. Yet, the story seems inconsistent with a robbery, according to the police. They have also charged Tauryn Robert Hodge, the man who phoned the police, with filing a false police report.

Police have not yet found the stolen PS3s, but are convinced that the men were involved in the robbery.
