Nintendo Sued Over Wii-mote

Nintendo Sued Over Wii-mote

None

Nintendo is being sued by Interlink, an office peripherals manufacturer, over the patent of a device that resembles the Wii-mote.

Interlink’s remote has a similar trigger on the underside of its body in the same place you can find the Wii-mote’s B button. Interlink patented this design on February 1 of 2005.

“Nintendo has made, used, offered for sale, and sold in the United States, and continues to make, use, offer for sale, and sell in the United States one or more controllers which activities infringe, induce others to infringe, and/or contributorily infringe the ‘221 patent,” Interlink has commented.

The company wants to claim royalties for the sale of Nintendo’s remote.
