2K Sports has announced that Derek Jeter, the New York Yankees’ All-Star shortstop, will be the cover athlete and official spokesperson for Major League Baseball 2K7.
“We strive with every 2K Sports product to bring the most entertaining and realistic sports experience possible. With Major League Baseball 2K7 we listened to our fans, redesigning the game by strengthening the core gameplay and incorporating new, innovative features,” stated Greg Thomas, President of Visual Concepts, a 2K Sports studio. “When Major League Baseball 2K7 is released later this winter, fans will experience the most authentic and exciting MLB video game experience on any platform.”

The game will release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, and PSP on March 5.
