Two New Ways to Qualify for Halo 3 Beta Announced

Microsoft and Bungie Studios have delivered a late Christmas present by presenting two new ways that gamers can get in on the Halo 3 multiplayer beta.

The first way to qualify for the beta is to participate in at least three hours of Halo 2 multiplayer sessions via Xbox Live between Thursday, February 1 beginning at 12:01 a.m. and February 3 ending at 11:59 p.m. Afterwards, be one of the first 13,333 players to register at www.halo3.com for the “Rule of Three” program.

The second way to get involved is to purchase a copy of the upcoming game Crackdown, an exclusive Xbox 360 action title. Certain copies of Crackdown will include an invitation to participate in the beta program. The game will release on February 20 in the U.S.

Gamers who want to participate in the Halo 3 multiplayer program must be 17 years of age or older They must also have a copy of Halo 2, an Xbox Live Gold subscription, and have access to an Xbox 360 Pro console or an Xbox 360 Core console with a hard drive.
