God of War 2 Turns Peaceful*

None

David Jaffe, director of the popular God of War game, has recently undergone a moral change of heart that will directly affect the God of War series.

“While taking a walk with my three year-old son on a sunny day, I was hit with the realization that war is not about peace, love, or anything good people in this world hope will come to fruition,” Jaffe explained. “I realized that creating a video game as violent as God of War was only producing hatred and anger in this world. I don’t want my son to remember my contribution in this world to be that of violence and war. I don’t want him comparing me to Saddam, Hitler, or Stalin.”

Jaffe’s moral conversion has had a drastic effect on the upcoming God of War 2. The first game was praised for its gore and violence, but Jaffe hopes to take the sequel in an entire different direction. No longer will the gods require Kratos to pay for his sins with his brutal hack and slash methods. Instead, he will be repaying his sins by doing good in his world. Kratos must complete missions like carrying bags of groceries for elderly women, giving kids rides to school, and fishing alongside fisherman down on their luck. Boss battles will force Kratos to cheer up extremely depressed characters, bring food to starving communities, and much more.

“Instead of destroying the lives of those around him, Kratos will be a force for all that is good and right in the world,” Jaffe explained.

We aren’t sure what this means for the popular God of War series, but we are sure to find out.
