The official website for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has been launched along with some information about the upcoming game. The newest title in the Star Wars franchise will be set between Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. Players will be cast as Darth Vader’s apprentice and must hunt down remaining Jedi Knights. The game will partly take place on a planet named Felucia which is inhabited by a “force-sensitive” race. The storyline may follow the branching path of the two Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The game has been developed and supervised by George Lucas.
The game will be leaping into the next-gen on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with brand new technology. “The Force Unleashed…takes full advantage of newly developed technologies that will be seen and experienced for the first time: Digital Molecular Matter (DMM), by Pixelus Entertainment, and Euphoria by NaturalMotion…paired with the powerful Havok Physics system,” the game’s official website reads.
