Preliminary numbers from the NPD Group suggest that the Wii is kicking butt in the console war. Preliminary figures suggest that the Wii has sold 436,000 systems in the U.S. in January. The Xbox 360 is coming in second with 294,000 units sold, and the PS3 pulls in third place with 244,000 units.
This puts the number of Wii units sold since launch at 1,536,000, and the number of PS3 units sold since launch at 931,300.
