Lingerie Shop Robbery Blamed on Shadowrun

Lingerie Shop Robbery Blamed on Shadowrun

None

Seriously, it doesn’t get much weirder than this. 45 year-old Robert Boyd in Belfast has been arrested after holding a female shop assistant at knife point in a robbery at a lingerie shop. He stole two sets of bras, underwear, suspender belts, and stockings.

The man told the court he was under the influence of a computer game at the time and believed he was an elf named Beho, his character in the game. Prior to the crime, the man had been playing Shadowrun with his friends. He admitted that he and his friends were criminals in the game and that he carried a Japanese samurai sword. He admitted that Beho may have wanted to rob the shop, but he didn’t know since he couldn’t remember his actions at the time of the crime.

“I can’t believe that I personally did that… and I deeply regret that,” he stated to the court. “If I had sought some help I would’ve avoided that in its entirety.”

Boyd regularly sees a psychologist, but maybe he should begin making his appointments twice a week.
