2K Sports has announced that Shaquille O’Neal will be the cover athlete and official spokesperson for NBA 2K6. O’Neal assisted in new animation and gameplay for the post play portion of the game. This will offer the player a more realistic experience with authentic NBA motion captured moves like drop steps, head fakes, skyhooks, and fade-away shots. Gamers can elevate their level of play by using the V.I.P. System to challenge others with online play.
“NBA 2K6 will be the best basketball game on the virtual court, and it’s no secret that I like to play with the best-and that’s 2K Sports,” Shaquille O’Neal announced enthusiastically.

The game will be out in the fall of 2005 for the PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360.
