Superheroes Complain About Sega’s Captain America License*

None

As we reported earlier, Captain America was recently killed. Shortly following his death, Marvel leased his name and likeness to Sega. This decision has upset many in the superhero universe including Spiderman, Superman, and the Incredible Hulk. Their chief complaint is Marvel’s decision falling so closely to the death of Steve Rogers.

“You know,” Superman stated. “Superheroes work really hard to save the world. It’s not an easy task. And then, just when you think people appreciate you, they go and sell your likeness just weeks after you’re killed. I think it’s unfair.”

“I agree,” Spiderman chimed in. “It just ain’t right. Bruce’s grave is still fresh and his agency is already profiting off his death. I’m certain he would be discouraged about this terrible turn of events.”

The Incredible Hulk became extremely angry when we try to contact him via his cell phone and accidentally crushed it. He later text messaged us from Wonder Woman’s phone, “I will talk to you later. Every time I begin talking about it, I keep crushing my phone, and Cingular said they won’t replace it for free again.”

The three have begun an e-mail petition to stop exploitation of their friend’s likeness. We will keep you posted as more occurs.
