Xbox 360 Creating Trouble for GTA IV

Xbox 360 Creating Trouble for GTA IV

None

In an interview with Rockstar Creative Vice President Dan Houser for the Official PlayStation Magazine, Houser admits that there are difficulties with developing the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto IV for both Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.   In describing his problems, he states that, “On PS3 you’ve got a guarantee that every machine is going to have a hard-drive and, with Blu-ray, you’ve got plenty of storage, whereas on Xbox 360 there’s no guarantee of a hard-drive and you’re working with the DVD format. Does that create limitations?” He then answers his own question by stating, “Yep.”

It has also been noted that the demo version that has been seen runs on the Xbox 360, and that the loading times for the PS3 are longer than those of the Xbox 360 due to the PlayStation 3’s use of a Blu-Ray drive.
