On the heels of Kutargi’s announcement of retirement and his revealing that he’s already planned the PlayStation 4-6, a rumor emerges from a “Sony Insider” about a possible new PlayStation next year.
Apparently, this new model of PlayStation will have modifications to the “drive bay” and “attachment areas”. If the rumor is true, this model PlayStation will probably be another reworked version of the PlayStation 3, like the Slim-line model PlayStation 2.
While it is likely that there will be another version of the PlayStation 3, next year seems early for a new model, although it isn’t outside of the realm of possibility. We’ll see when 2008 arrives in earnest.
