Halo 3 beta Crackdown problems resolved, beta extended for four days

None

Yesterday, Bungie had their hands full when gamers that purchased Crackdown attempted to download the Halo 3 beta.  For undisclosed reasons, anyone that attempted to use the Crackdown invite method was unable to log onto the beta, although they had been promised it would be available at the same time as all the other entry methods.

After nearly a day of frustrated gamers unable to access the beta, a Crackdown patch was introduced which resolved the issue and allowed all Crackdown invites to finally join in.  Bungie also extended the beta, which was scheduled to end on July 7th, until July 10th.  Both Microsoft and Bungie apologized for the delay.
