Mario Kart is one of Nintendo’s most popular franchises and it is inevitable that it will eventually make its way to the Wii. However, internet rumors are claiming that footage of the game has already been shown at the recent Nintendo Summit event in
Apparently, Nintendo showed a reel that contained footage of various titles being released in 2008 and Mario Kart for the Wii was one of the titles shown. The game is supposed to be controlled by holding the Wii-mote sideways and supposedly had “traditional looking” but impressive visuals. A WiiConnect24 logo was also shown, which may denote that the game has some online capabilities. According to the sources, the information hasn’t been released yet because of an embargo on the information that prevents attendees from disclosing what was shown until a set date.
If this information is true, expect to see footage of the game soon and CCC will have a full preview as soon as information becomes available.
