Despite rumors to the contrary, Rockstar has recently reconfirmed the release date of their highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto IV for October 19th. Gamers were upset by the statements of analyst Michael Pachter, who predicted that Rockstar might push GTA IV back a couple of weeks to distance themselves from the release of Halo 3 as well as to improve “the company’s prospects for financial year 08,”. However, Rockstar has denied these claims and insists that the game will ship without a delay.
In other Grand Theft Auto news, a listing for a new trailer has appeared on the official GTA IV website, with the date set for June 28th. The title and theme behind the trailer will be “Looking for that special someone”, which sounds oddly romantic for a GTA game.
