Jack Thompson says Florida Bar forcing him to get psych eval, suspension

According to anti-game attorney Jack Thompson, an official from the Florida Bar is proposing that Thompson submit to a psychological evaluation and accept a 91-day suspension from practicing law.

The request apparently is coming from Sheila M. Tuma and originates from claims of Thompson’s unprofessional conduct during Thompson’s case against Rockstar’s Bully.

Thompson wrote in an email, “Ms. Tuma not only did not move off her [suspension] demand one iota, not one smidgeon, but she instead upped her demand by requiring that Thompson undergo a battery of psychological tests as part of the fabulous deal The Bar offered him … Ms. Tuma [sic] last demand going into the mediation was a 91-day suspension, and she opened and ended with that and a shrink’s couch.”

This would not be the first time Thompson has taken a psychological evaluation.  According to his book Out of Harm’s Way, he was also sent for evaluation in the 90s, passed his test, and subsequently sued the Bar, eventually settling for $20,000 in damages.
