While the PlayStation 3 may be in last place in the console wars in the Western market, Sony’s PS3 is outselling the Xbox 360 by a margin of 2:1 in the Japanese gaming market.
Japanese publisher Enterbrain reported that Sony has sold 1.01 million PS3s since launching the console in November, comparing to Microsoft’s 420,705 consoles sold, despite launching nearly a year earlier.
The Wii is still outselling both systems, having sold nearly 3 million units as of July 8th.
