One of the unnoticed additions to yesterday’s Wii firmware update is the ability for users to use a USB Keyboard with most of the Wii Channels. Currently, a USB keyboard can be used in the Wii Shop Channel (making use of the newly added search box) as well as in the Wii Message Board, conveniently allowing gamers to type memos or messages. However, the keyboard functionality does not extend to the Internet Channel yet, although Nintendo will likely fix this issue in the future.
