According to the Japanese Gaming magazine Dengeki PlayStation, the Dualshock 3 will be compatible with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. Some are speculating the that shadowy, silhouetted image on the official Gran Turismo 5 website is the Dualshock 3 and not the Sixaxis controller as previously thought.
