Ea has confirmed that Pandemic’s highly anticipated sequel to Mercenaries, the GTA-esque combat sim, will be delayed to 2008 and obviously won’t make the holiday season as originally thought.
No reason was given for the delay and no specific release date was given, as EA only offered a nebulous 2008 for release.
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames joins titles like Splinter Cell: Conviction, Metal Gear Solid 4 and most notably, Grand Theft Auto IV, in being delayed from the holiday season to a 2008 release date.
