Nintendo has registered some intriguing titles with the Japan patent office recently, trademarking Mii Contest Channel, Mii Audition, Wii Handle, Nintendo Magic, Wii Body Controller, and Soma Bringer.
Speculation has immediately begun on what these trademarks could possibly be related to. The Mii Contest Channel and Mii Audition might possibly be related to the Check Mii Out Channel announced during E3. The Wii Body Controller might be a new name for the Wii Balance Board, also shown at E3. Nintendo Magic has been confirmed as the translation for a Japanese DS game that teaches magic tricks. A lot of gamers are speculating that the Wii Handle could be a possible Wii gamertag, since handle can mean a person’s name or “code name”.
While we can speculate, we can’t be certain until Nintendo confirms or announces these possible new applications or titles. We’ll keep you posted.
