Halo 3 Mania hits retailers Best Buy, Wal-Mart

The Halo 3 advertising campaign began in earnest much earlier this year, but the fervor is growing among the retail stores.

In part of the advertising madness of Halo 3, electronics retail chain Best Buy is offering anyone with an Xbox 360 and broadband connection a weekend pass to Xbox Live from the 25 to the 27 of September to coincide with the launch of the massive title.

Wal-Mart has also committed effort to supporting Halo 3.  Advertising on the walmart.com website has promised gamers looking for their Halo fix a few privileges, including “plenty of copies in stock” as well as free Halo 3 Dog Tags, and special checkout lanes devoted entirely to customers purchasing Halo 3.

Halo 3 will be available for purchase on September 25th.
