Halo 3 is undeniably the biggest game of 2007 in terms of hype and fandom, but will sales figures reflect the Halo fanaticism? Microsoft is confident that Halo 3 will set entertainment records and many are eager to see the sales figures of huge title.
Over 1.5 Million preorders were made for the title, making Halo 3 the fastest pre-sell game in history. The title was previously held by Halo 2.
Speculation is also running rampant on the final sales figures for the first 24 hours, with many estimating that the game will sell as many as 2.45 Million copies its first day. Many are expecting it to take the current entertainment throne from blockbuster movie Spider-Man 3, which made $151 million in its opening weekend. However, the popular theory is that Halo 3 will top Spider-Man 3 in one day.
