First, Thompson found himself in trouble because of a questionable decision on his part. The lawyer apparently filed gay porn images in a document filed with the court last week. While it is hard to determine the exact reason for this action, Thompson’s reasoning behind it comes as a criticism of Norm Kent, a criminal defense lawyer from
Thompson’s next move was to attempt to have Halo 3 declared a public nuisance. He has already attempted this and failed in 2006 with Rockstar’s Bully.
Thompson’s latest action comes in the form of attempting to disprove the efficacy of the Rating System. Thompson had his 15-year old son purchase a copy of Halo 3 at Target to prove that the M-rated game could easily wind up in the hands of underage gamers. M-rated titles are rated so that only persons 17-years of age and older are able to purchase the game.
Thompson has performed this demonstration before when in early September he had his son purchase Bioshock, another M-rated title, from Best Buy.
