A recent Japanese report has revealed that, despite the phenomenal sales of the Wii worldwide, a vast number of current Wii owners haven’t played their console in a while.
Hirokazu Hamamura, president of Famitsu publisher Enterbrain, says that the Wii hasn’t had a second big hit at the level of Wii Sports, although he predicts that Wii Fit and upcoming titles like Monster Hunter Freedom 3 could draw some of the missing attention back to the Wii.
Conversely, Hamamura said that the DS sales are doing great and that he expects the DS will hit the 30 million units shipped in Japan in 2009.
