Just in time for the holidays, Nintendo has unveiled the ability to send and receive gifts through the Virtual Console.
This feature allows a consumer to purchase a VC game and choose a friend to receive the game. The chosen friend will receive the game and a message. “We think this will be a breakthrough in encouraging customers to spread news of fun games [through] word of mouth,” Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said. “We also hope to spur more users to connect their Wiis to the Internet.”
