Infinity Ward has admitted that the PlayStation 3 version of Call of Duty 4 is better than the Xbox 360 version, stating that they had their “best programmers” working on the PS3 version.
“We had our best programmers on the PS3 and it shows,” Infinity Ward studio head Vince Zampella stated in an interview with PSM3 magazine. “We had two separate teams working on both versions from the start,” Zampella said. “Most developers only focus on a single platform, then quickly port the game over to another one. You don’t get very good results that way.”
The PS3 version is believed to have better overall visuals as well as a multiplayer mode that supports 24 players as opposed to the Xbox 360’s 18 players online.
