Schwarzenegger Distances Himself From Conan Game

Schwarzenegger Distances Himself From Conan Game

None

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, whose rise to prominence came from starring in a number of action movies, has gone on record distancing himself from the recently released Conan the Barbarian game.  Schwarzenegger, who starred as Conan in the 1982 film about the violent barbarian, has apparently decided to distance himself from the game because of its violence.

The Contra Costa Times reported that “Schwarzenegger has ‘no association with this game,’ [according to] Aaron McLear, the governor’s spokesman, who did not elaborate on how the governor feels about the character becoming a video game. Schwarzenegger is fighting for a law to restrict the sale of violent video games, and “Conan” would be among those regulated.”
