The Associated Press has issued its Worst Games of 2007 list, including categories for the worst games, most disappointing games, and most overexposed titles. Big titles like Manhunt 2, Lair, even Halo 3 achieve dubious honors. Manhunt 2 is described as “a substandard product” while Lair has “awkward, imprecise controls and lackluster, repetitive missions.”

Worst Flaw in Great Game:
- Inventory system in Mass Effect
Worst cross-promotion
- Playboy and Eidos’ “cyber search” for the (mostly naked) woman who best embodied the “dangerous vibe” of Kane & Lynch: Dead Men , a game about a vicious mercenary and his psychotic partner.
The Nintendo Wii also took the “Most Baffling” Award because of its scarcity on shelves over a year after its release.
