Xbox 360 Software Sales Atrocious in Japan

None

It is a known fact that sales of both Xbox 360 hardware and software are horrible in Japan , especially in comparison to the American market.  The Japanese support of Microsoft’s platform is nearly nonexistent.  However, the sales figures for the Xbox 360 software are a lot worse than most gamers realize and/or can fathom.

The top 50 Xbox 360 games sold haven’t even hit the 2 million yet.  These sales figures are atrocious, especially considering the fact that Halo 3 sold over 4 million units in its first two months.  To put things in perspective, Halo 3 sold over twice as many games in its first two months on the market than the top 50 games on the Xbox 360 have sold since its release in Japan .

Blue Dragon leads the Japanese market in sales with 203,740 games sold, followed by Dead or Alive 4, which sold nearly half that at 108,618 units.  Ace Combat 6 is next with 83,045 units sold, and Halo 3 has the fourth place position with only 82,987 games sold.

The total games sold of all of Microsoft’s top 50 games are 1,818,924 units.
